**What this is:**
CoFA (Consciousness as a Fundamental Ability) presents a new philosophical
framework that defines consciousness as the fundamental ability to know —
analogous to how energy is the ability to do work.

**Core framework:**
- Ability (consciousness) — universal, non-physical enabling condition
- Capacity (brain, senses, mind, intellect) — variable physical instruments
- Experience — natural consequence of Ability working through Capacity

**Contents:**
- Book: Preface + 10 Chapters + Conclusion + Glossary
- Short essay
- Long essay
- Whitepaper

**Author's note:**
This is version 0.1.0 — the theory is well-developed and coherent,
but the book continues to evolve. Feedback welcome.
